Nancy J. Giacolone, RHU
President & Owner
With over 30 years in the employee benefit industry, Nancy has both the experience and knowledge our clients have come to rely on. She began as an Administrative Assistant in a small Tacoma agency and worked her way up to partner before moving on to start Olympic Crest Insurance in 1996.
Nancy has served as President of the SW Washington Association of Health Underwriters, served on the Junior Achievement of Washington Board of Directors and continues to be an active volunteer in the community. She maintains membership in many professional and community organizations. She has been recognized by several major insurance carriers as platinum partner.
Nancy is a licensed agent and broker in Washington, Oregon, Arizona and Hawaii. She earned her Registered Health Underwriter (RHU) designation in 1991 and continually pursues additional education opportunities to provide the best products, service and knowledge to her clients.
She is a Washington State native and currently resides in Gig Harbor with her husband and three dogs. When not working or spending time with her family, she can be found in the kitchen, with a camera in her hand or trying some new artistic adventure. Along with her husband, they have recently launched a local micro-brewery, GSP Craft Brewing.
Nicholas (Nick) Giacolone
Nick has been working at Olympic Crest Insurance before he was even able to drive a car. After graduating college at Oregon State University in 2014, Nick began working at Olympic Crest Insurance as a full-time benefits consultant. He has been working alongside Colin Walters to make waves in the benefits industry by tackling problems head on and by finding new and creative ways to solve problems.
Nick is highly proficient, a quick-learner, and is dedicated to providing clients with the highest level of service and expertise. His attention to detail provides clients with accurate and timely information, as well as the most competitively priced products available.
When Nick is not working, he is spending his time with his family and friends. He is a huge football fan and is a die-hard Seahawks and Oregon State Beavers fan. Aside from football, he enjoys competitive running, hunting, fishing, and playing with his three dogs.
After graduating Cum Laude from Washington State University in December of 2015 with degrees in Spanish and Sport Management, Colin transitioned from administrative work with Century Insurance Services, LLC into an Employee Benefits Advisor position with Olympic Crest Insurance. Colin is passionate about helping employers provide benefit solutions for their employees and works to establish long-term, mutually advantageous relationships with both clients and carriers.
Colin is a voracious learner who is constantly striving for personal development. He has a natural curiosity for how the world works, and is always seeking to gain new perspectives. His passion for life and people is contagious, and he is dedicated to a lifelong journey of learning, growing, and sowing seeds of positivity.
Outside of his career, Colin shares his love for baseball as the current Varsity Head Coach at Charles Wright Academy. He has a passion for travel, meeting people, and experiencing rich and diverse cultures. Colin’s current goals include learning to play the piano, learning to salsa, and obtaining a Sky Diving license. He also loves playing with his two dogs, Spud and Biscuit
Danielle joined our team in April, 2016 as an Administrative Assistant and has recently moved into an Account Manager position. She has been an entrepreneur since 2009 where she and her mom started a Rhinestone Manufacturing and Apparel Business and was a Personal Financial Representative at a bank previous to that.

She’s a workaholic, but the things she loves most in life are spending time with family and friends, her pets, cooking, going on new adventures and trying new restaurants.
Cindy Funk has been with Olympic Crest Insurance since June of 2012. She initially came to OCI with 33 years of group insurance experience with her expertise in the ancillary lines, including Life, Disability and Dental. As the Benefit Analyst at OCI, her expertise has now been extended to include medical and an array of worksite products.
Cindy started her insurance career with Assurant Employee Benefits running small group quotes and answering phones. During her tenure of 30 years, she continued to grow with increased responsibilities eventually taking on the roles of Office Manager, Account Manager, and Renewal Manager. She was honored as the Employee of the Quarter, and was given the Customer Service award 3 years in a row.
From Assurant, Cindy continued on the carrier side with Regence Life and Health, where she was an Account Executive for 3 years.
Cindy holds her Washington Agent’s License. She attended college in Spokane, moved to Seattle upon graduating, married in 1981, and has two daughters who both reside in Bonney Lake close to their Mom. Cindy enjoys camping with friends, traveling, boating and swimming. Her greatest joy is spending time with her Granddaughter, Skyler, whenever the opportunity presence itself.
Elizabeth joined Olympic Crest Insurance as an Eligibility Specialist in September of 2017. She got her first taste of employee benefits administration in a Human Resources position before joining the Olympic Crest team. She comes to us with over ten years of customer service and administrative experience.
Elizabeth brings her organizational and time management skills along with a knack for making people feel welcome. She loves to help people solve problems by thinking outside of the box. Elizabeth is continually looking for opportunities to learn and expand her skill set and is currently working towards earning her Life and Disability License. She has dipped her toes in several pools over the years and is pleased to have found her niche at OCI. Since coming on board, Elizabeth has proven to be a quick learner and an efficient team member.
When Elizabeth is not working, she can usually be found playing board games with her husband, friends, and family. She also enjoys snuggling with her dog, reading, and searching for perfect shells on the beach.
Individual & Medicare Specialist
Corinne may be one of the newest members of the Olympic Crest team specializing in Individual and Medicare sales, but she is no stranger to the insurance industry. She began her career 20 years ago as a Long-Term Care and Medicare Insurance Specialist with General Electric Capital. Shortly thereafter, she opened up her own practice as ISLAND LTC, where she has helped over 600 seniors get the peace of mind of not having to outlive their assets should they have a long-term care event.
Corinne was born and raised in Rye, New York and attended Cazenovia and Iona Colleges. She moved to Tacoma in 1980 and has lived on Fox Island since 1989. Corinne has a keen sense of community and volunteering and was chosen as Volunteer of the Year at Voyager Elementary School in 2002. She was also an active Gig Harbor High Sports Booster, Baseball and Football Mom and served on the Board of Directors of the Chapel on Echo Bay for 15 years.
Corinne has been married to Joe Manjarrez, a local CPA, for 34 years. They have a son, Spencer and rescue puppy Sally. The family is avid Yankees fans and in their spare time they can be found on their sailboat “YANKEE”, cruising Puget Sound with the Fox Island Yacht Club, where they have been members for 25 years.
Peter Marathas, Esq.
Peter received his J.D. from the University of Illinois College of Law, magna cum laude, his M.A. from Bradley University, summa cum laude, and his B.A. from Bradley University, cum laude. Before practicing law, Peter taught business and technical writing at the University of Illinois and Bradley University and was also a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ghana, West Africa. Peter’s expertise and extensive experience is in dealing with employee benefits, retirement plans, welfare plans, and executive compensation arrangements. He assists his clients with issues arising under the various laws and regulations governing these types of arrangements including ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, the IRS code and other federal and state laws. Peter has formed his own law firm, Marathas, Barrow and Weatherhead LLP. He has been recognized as one of the “Best Lawyers in America” in the practice of employee benefits and compensation law.
Stacy Barrow, Esq.
Stacy is an associate of BAN Compliance Director, Peter Marathas with Marathas, Barrow and Weatherhead LLP. He uses a practical, business-focused approach to counsel his clients on complex employee benefits and executive compensation matters.
Stacy has extensive technical knowledge and experience designing and implementing qualified retirement plans, health and welfare plans, and equity and incentive programs that meet the numerous and intricate requirements of applicable federal and state law.
Stacy’s prior experience includes work as a compliance officer for an international insurance brokerage and risk management firm, and as an actuarial analyst for a Big 4 public accounting firm. Stacy’s past experience informs his legal approach of providing practical, business-minded advice to his clients.
Dr. Bruce Campbell
Chief of Health and Informatics Services.
Dr. Bruce Campbell serves as BAN’s is a subject matter expert on population health management. Value-Based Plan Design, health informatics, health plan performance reporting, patient-centered medical home activities, and accountable care organizations.
Dr. ‘Campbell brings over 25 years of executive management and consulting experience in healthcare. He has held executive staff and operating positions in healthcare services companies, managed care plans, integrated delivery systems, medical groups, and healthcare information technology companies.
He has served as a Director on the Boards of several public and private health care companies. He was the Chair of the Audit Committee of a public company that provided disease management services to private health plans and operated Medicare Special Needs Plans.
Dr. Campbell also served as Chief Medical Officer for Aetna as well as Senior Vice President of Operations for several operating units and subsidiaries at Aetna Health Plans. As CMO he was responsible for all quality improvement, medical cost management, utilization and care improvement initiatives, HMO, URAC, and NCQA preparedness, the NCQA survey process; and was responsible for NCQA accreditation results.
Dr. Campbell completed his medical oncology fellowship and his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Stanford University School of Medicine. He received his MD from the University Of Vermont. He earned a PhD from the University of Chicago, and a BA with highest honors from Williams College.
He has completed advanced courses in quality improvement, process engineering and statistics.
Dr. Campbell became a Fellow of the American College of Physicians in 1980, and is a past member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the College of Healthcare Information Executives.
Jamie Hawkins is the President and CEO of Benefit Technology Resources, LLC and an independent technology consultant. She has been instrumental in helping employers identify how the technology in today’s marketplace can streamline the way they administer their entire HR “back-office” functions and stay compliant with health care reform. She has 17 years of industry experience and over 13 years specializing in Employee Benefits technology solutions for employer groups with 100-8,000 employees. With over 300 providers in the HR technology sector, she has the unique skills to help employers identify and vet the solutions which best fit their needs, budget and timing. Jamie’s areas of expertise include: health care reform data tracking, payroll, Human Resource Information Systems and Benefits Administration.
